Registered Civil Engineer in Florida and California:  Site, Drainage, and Highway

Recent Major Project InRoads Engineering Experience

July - December 2006: I-5 Widening:  Manchester Interchange modeling via CAiCE and InRoads; Santa Fe Interchange via InRoads Storm&Sanitary.

May 2005-June 2006: I-15 Managed Lanes, Unit 5.  Geometry and Drainage Design for  Direct Access Ramp and new Managed Lanes.  Work performed on-site at CalTrans using CAiCE and InRoads.

2003: SR-54 Gap Connector.  Modeling 4+1 level highway interchange for a large design/build project.

2001-2002:  Foothill Transportation Corridor: Created and Managed InRoads model of 20+ miles of Proposed Highway in Orange County, California.  Model was used for Environmental and Right of Way studies, which included complex side slope treatment criteria (cut swales, multiple benching, exterior cut or fill ditches, etc.).  

 

Software Experience

Continuous production, design or administrative use of MicroStation/InRoads Suite since 1992.

  • Intergraph Corporation 1992-1993:  Certification and Support Lead for Water Resources;  Instrumental in Development of Mixed Flow HGL/EGL Methodology;  InRail, InSpan certification;  InRoads support.

  • HNTB Corporation 1993-1995: Advanced InRoads User including complex corridor modeling with multiple independent transition controls.  Workflow Automation and office user group facilitator.

  • San Diego Data Processing/City of San Diego 1995-2000: Manager, Engineering Applications, Sewer Design Software Programs; primary Certifier and Liaison for InSewer and Storm&Sanitary.

  • PBS&J 2001-2002: 15+ miles of corridor modeling (Foothill Transportation Corridor South), including very sophisticated side-slope treatment.

  • Parsons, Brinckerhoff 2002: advanced interchange modeling

  • Chair of the Bentley Water Resource Steering Subcommittee.

  • Author of "Ini Manager," an InRoads preference management tool.

  • Author of 250+ page authoritative  "Mastering Storm&Sanitary"

  • Author of innovative "Exploring InRoads" and "Building InRoads"
