Intergraph/Bentley Chair of InRoads Water Resource Steering Sub-Committee.

1999Q4-2000Q2. InRoads v8 Upgrade Training for City of San Diego Transportation and Drainage Design Department. Developed training manual and taught class and provided support for department engineers.

May 2000. Intergraph International Graphics User Group. Presented ": presented "InRoads Storm&Sanitary [v8] Layout & Design"

June 2000. Started independent InRoads v8 training and consulting, which continues through the present.

July 2000. Authored industry-leading "Mastering [InRoads v8] Storm&Sanitary" training manual.

September 2000. Bentley International Users Conference: presented "Implementing InRoads v8"; presented "InRoads Storm&Sanitary [v8] Layout & Design" workshop.

March 2001. Begin authoring and distribution of Ini Manager, a free Visual Basic program designed to facilitate management of InRoads Preference files.

September 2001. Bentley International Users Conference: presented "InRoads Storm&Sanitary [v8] Layout & Design" workshop [conference was cancelled].

2001-2002. PBS&J: 15+ miles of new highway modeling through mountainous terrain, including very sophisticated side-slope treatments (e.g., decision tables with over 100 records).

May 2002. Bentley International Users Conference: presented "InRoads Storm&Sanitary [v8] Layout & Design" workshop.

2002Q3. Parsons, Brinckerhoff: advanced InRoads interchange modeling.

November 2002. Authored "Exploring InRoads," an innovative one day introduction to the essentials evaluation/review/QC tools no InRoads user, occasional or expert, can live without.

January 2003. Authored "Building InRoads," which incrementally and iteratively introduces core InRoads concepts and skill in the simplest and easiest-to-retain manner yet achieved in InRoads training.

April 2003 - June 2004. Oklahoma DOT MicroStation v8/InRoads v8.4 Upgrade Project. Technical lead for InRoads/InRoads Survey software upgrade. Managed user expectations and feedback for data management plan (level naming schemes) and upgrading InRoads and InRoads Survey to work automatically with those schemes. Designed and implemented the Online Help intranet.

May 2003. Bentley International Users Conference: presented "Managing Complex Designs, Surface Management Tools and Techniques" and "InRoads Storm&Sanitary [v8]: 4 Hours to Productivity" workshop.

October 2003: Bentley InRoads Conference. Presented 1-hour introduction to InRoads, 2-hour "Exploring InRoads" workshop and "InRoads Storm&Sanitary [v8]: 4 Hours to Productivity" workshop.

Major InRoads Engineering Experience

[v8] 2003: SR-54 Gap Connector. Modeling 4+1 level highway interchange for a large design/build project.

[v8] 2001-2002: Foothill Transportation Corridor: Created and Managed InRoads model of 20+ miles of Proposed Highway in Orange County, California. Model was used for Environmental and Right of Way studies, which included complex side slope treatment criteria (cut swales, multiple benching, exterior cut or fill ditches, etc.).

HNTB Corporation 1993-1995: Advanced InRoads User including complex corridor modeling with multiple independent transition controls. Workflow Automation and office user group facilitator.
